How to Mark Your Coach Attendance on BallersBook
Learn how to find your attendance sheet and record your presence as a coach.
Intro
Tracking coach attendance helps your club maintain accountability and plan sessions effectively. BallersBook provides a dedicated My Attendance page where you can quickly mark yourself as present, absent, or excused for each scheduled session. This guide walks you through locating your attendance sheet and recording your status.
Prerequisites
- A BallersBook account with the Coach role (or Club Admin with coach-level access).
- Your club administrator must have created at least one Coach Attendance Sheet for a season and assigned it to you. (If you don’t see any sheets, contact your admin.)
- You must be logged in to the platform.
Step-by-step
-
Log in to your BallersBook account using your email and password. If you have multiple roles, use the Role Switcher in the navbar to set your active role to Coach.
-
From the main navigation menu, click My Attendance. This opens the attendance dashboard for your assigned sheets.
-
You will see a list of attendance sheets. Each sheet corresponds to a specific season, date, or session event. Look for the sheet you need to mark. Sheets are typically ordered by date (most recent first) and include the season name, date, and time.
-
Click on the sheet’s row or its View Sheet button to open the attendance record.
-
On the sheet, locate your name in the list of assigned coaches. Next to your name, you will see options to mark your attendance status. The available statuses are:
- Present - You attended the session.
- Absent - You did not attend.
- Excused - You were unable to attend for a valid reason (pre-approved).
- Other custom statuses configured by your club may appear.
Click the button or radio input corresponding to your status.
- After selecting your status, click Save (or Save Changes) to confirm your entry. Some sheets may auto-save when you change the selection; look for a confirmation message or check that the new status is highlighted.
💡 Tip: If you accidentally mark the wrong status, simply select the correct one and save again. The record updates immediately.
Tips & Pitfalls
- Attendance sheets must be created by an admin. If you cannot find any sheets, ask your club administrator to generate a coach attendance sheet for the relevant season and assign it to you.
- You can only mark attendance on sheets where you are listed as an assigned coach. Sheets for other coaches will not appear.
- Check the date carefully. Each sheet is tied to a specific day or session. Marking the wrong day may affect payroll or reports.
- If you use the same sheet for multiple sessions, ensure you select the correct date before marking.
- Your club may enforce a cutoff time. Some clubs require attendance to be marked within 24 hours of the session. Late submissions might require admin approval.
Summary
Marking your coach attendance is a simple three-step process: go to My Attendance, open the sheet for your session, and select your status. Once saved, your record is available for club reports and payroll. If you need to correct a mistake, you can update it anytime until the admin closes the sheet. Next, consider checking your club’s attendance policies to ensure you’re meeting deadlines.
