How to Review and Approve AI-Generated Drill Diagrams

As an AI Reviewer, you play a key role in maintaining the quality of our drill library. When coaches use the Draw Tool’s AI generator, every new diagram is sent to a review queue before it becomes visible to the rest of the club. Your job is to either approve high-quality diagrams, reject those that need improvement, or manually correct them so they meet your club’s standards. This guide walks you through the entire review process.

Prerequisites

• A BallersBook account with the AI Reviewer or AI Admin Reviewer role.
• Access to the AI Review Queue (the page where pending AI-generated drills are listed).
• At least one pending AI-generated drill diagram awaiting review.
• Familiarity with the Draw Tool (for manual corrections).

Step-by-Step

1. Log in to your account and navigate to the AI Review Queue. The exact page name and URL are not shown in the current documentation; contact your system administrator if you cannot locate it.

2. Browse the list of pending drills. Each entry shows the drill name, the AI model used, and a preview of the diagram.

3. Click the drill you want to review. A detail panel opens showing the full diagram, the AI-generated description, and coaching points.

4. Examine the diagram for accuracy, completeness, and visual clarity. Use the View Diagram link to open an interactive preview if needed.

5. Decide on the action:

• Approve - Click Approve to publish the drill to your club’s library. The drill becomes visible to all users with drill access.
• Reject - Click Reject to send the drill back to the drawing board. The coach who generated it will be notified and can try again.
• Correct - Click Correct to enter manual editing mode. This opens the Draw Tool with the current diagram loaded.

6. If you chose Correct, use the Draw Tool to adjust player positions, arrows, and zones as needed. Refer to the Draw Tool guide for detailed editing instructions.

7. After making corrections, click Save Diagram to return to the review panel.

8. Finally, click Approve to publish your corrected version, or Reject if the diagram still requires improvements.

9. (Optional) Add a review note explaining your decision. This note is visible to the drill’s creator and helps them learn from each review cycle.

• Always verify that the AI diagram matches the intended drill purpose. A beautiful diagram that teaches the wrong skill is not useful.
• When rejecting, provide a clear, constructive reason. This helps the AI improve its future generations.
• If you notice the same issue across multiple diagrams (e.g., unrealistic player spacing), consider updating the AI generation settings in Global Preferences (requires super-admin privileges).
• Use the Copy Drill action on approved diagrams if you want to create a variant without waiting for a new AI generation.
• Do not approve diagrams that contain incomplete fields or missing coaching points. The drill should be ready to use as-is.
