How to Copy Your Club's Public Registration Link

Learn how to quickly copy your club's unique public registration link from the dashboard for parents to register new players.

Intro

The public registration link lets parents and guardians sign up players directly to your club without needing an account. Instead of sending invitations individually, you can share this one link in an email, your website, or a social media post. Once parents open the link, they fill out a simple form and their child is added to your club roster. The one-click copy button on the dashboard widget makes it easy to grab the link in seconds and start collecting registrations.

Prerequisites

  • An active club account with either Admin or Coach role.
  • A club that has been created (every club automatically gets a unique registration URL).
  • (Optional) A configured player passcode in your club settings to restrict registration access.

Step-by-step

  1. Log in to your BallersBook account and navigate to the Dashboard. The sidebar menu on the left contains the Dashboard link at the top.

  2. Locate the Public Registration Link widget. This widget is usually placed near the top of the dashboard, often under a section called “Quick Actions” or “Registration”. It displays the full URL for your club, for example https://ballersbook.app/add-player/[your-club-id].

  3. Click the Copy Link button next to the displayed URL. The button usually has an icon of two overlapping squares. When clicked, the link is copied to your clipboard.

  4. A confirmation toast or tooltip appears briefly (e.g., “Link copied!”). You can now paste the link anywhere using Ctrl+V (Windows) or Cmd+V (Mac).

💡 Tip: If you want to limit registrations to only people who know a secret passcode, go to Club Settings → Player Registration and set a passcode. Parents will be asked to enter it before submitting the form.

Tips & Pitfalls

  • The copied link always includes your club’s unique ID. You cannot change the URL, but you can shorten it with a link shortener if needed.
  • If the passcode is enabled, make sure to share it separately from the link, or include it in the same communication if you want to allow immediate registration.
  • The Public Registration Link widget is visible to all Admin and Coach accounts. If you don’t see it, verify that your active role is either admin or coach using the role switcher in the top navigation bar.
  • Guests and viewers (e.g., ai-reviewer or parent) cannot access the dashboard, so they will not see the widget.
  • Registration links never expire, but you can disable the public form in Club Settings to stop new registrations at any time.

Summary

You can now quickly copy your club’s public registration link from the dashboard widget and share it with parents. This eliminates the need for manual account creation and speeds up the player onboarding process. After sharing the link, check the Roster page to see new players appear automatically. If you need to customize the registration form further, explore the Club Settings for passcodes and other options.
