How to Log In to BallersBook
Learn how to sign in to your BallersBook account using email and password or social login options like Google and Apple.
Intro
Logging in is your gateway to everything BallersBook: managing drills, creating sessions, tracking attendance, and more. The platform uses secure authentication to protect your club’s data and guides unauthenticated visitors to the Login page whenever they try to access protected areas. This walkthrough covers both standard email/password sign-in and single sign-on (SSO) with Google or Apple accounts.
Prerequisites
- A valid BallersBook account (either created via registration or invited by your club).
- Internet access and a modern browser (desktop or mobile).
- For SSO: a Google or Apple account that you have used to register with BallersBook.
Step-by-step
-
Navigate to your club’s BallersBook URL, or go directly to the Login page at
/login. If you are already signed out and try to access a protected page (e.g.,/sessions), you will be automatically redirected to the login screen. -
On the login screen, your authentication options are displayed:
- Email & Password - Enter the email address and password you used during registration.
- Sign in with Google - Click the Google button to authenticate with your Google account.
- Sign in with Apple - Click the Apple button to authenticate with your Apple ID.
-
Fill in your credentials (or complete the SSO flow) and click Sign In (or the equivalent button shown in your browser’s authentication prompt).
-
After successful authentication, BallersBook redirects you to the page you originally tried to access or to the default dashboard (typically the Sessions page or Library). Your club’s data loads automatically based on your account’s
club_id. -
If your account has multiple roles (e.g., Coach and Parent), use the Role Switcher in the navigation bar to set your active session role. Route access is determined by this active role.
Tips & Pitfalls
- If you forget your password, click the Forgot Password? link on the login form. BallersBook will send a password reset email to the address on file.
- Make sure you are logging in with the email that is associated with your BallersBook account. SSO accounts must be linked to your profile during registration or later via account settings.
- Unauthenticated users can still access the public Drill Library (
/library) and the Draw Tool (/draw) as anonymous guests, but they cannot save or copy drills. Any attempt to perform restricted actions will prompt a Sign Up modal. - After login, if you don’t see your club’s data, verify with your club admin that your account has been assigned to the correct club and role.
- Keep your login credentials secure. BallersBook uses Firebase Authentication which enforces industry-standard encryption and session management.
Summary
You can authenticate to BallersBook using your email and password, or with a single click through Google or Apple SSO. Once signed in, you gain access to all features permitted by your role. Protected routes automatically redirect unauthenticated visitors to the login page, ensuring your club’s information stays safe. Next, explore the Drill Library or create your first Session Plan to get started.
